During the beta 7 I understood why there is that nonsense prohibition in Argon space. They started building booze factories on mass - now it's clear, it's a state monopoly, they simply do not want you to enter the market (though there should be a licence for that like it was in previous games)
Anyway - don't you think that populated stations should have some demand for meanings of unwinding (race specific ofc)? That would expand the market which is suprisingly tiny - are the only workers' recreation in the future will be 'virtual companionship' and spamming future Twitter/X ? It's a gruesome vision

Great, make the station population drunk and stoned. Egosoft just got all those pathfinding improvements in for us, and now they need to put them back in for random pilots. Did you even think about how difficult it's going to be to devise a breathalyzer test for a Boron!?

in VIG territory ask you for hep because he needs to deliver water to his starving family. But inside the Avarice system (or any system) the water actually is NOT needed by any population, besides Borons (I think? never actually checked).
So the whole drama is just for show and have no relation to gameplay - besides pointing to you that VIG are bullies and 'mafia' (such a surprise).

Is there even virtual companionship in the game? Go to a bar and I see nothing even suggesting that. Now in Rebirth...TroubledRabbit wrote: ↑Sun, 14. 1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens when enemy is close in numbers.
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time.

Food Rations require Meat, and Meat requires Water. Medical Supplies require Water directly. Literally every workforce requires water; Boron just need more water.

Re: [Request/suggestion] booze and weed for the masses
so...
nobody drinks but instead sucks all the water needed from the burgers?
I am afraid to think about the ingame showers now...
Besides the water is generally needed for many technology processes. Yes it's relatively easy to synthetise (though energy costly) but synthetic water will lack microelements etc.
(no it is not a discussion about 'realism' - just suggestion to expand economy into civilian layer)
